Katy Perry is honoured for charity work Dec 3rd 2012, 10:42 Splash The latest celebrity news including updates on Justin Bieber, Robert Pattinson and more Katy Perry is honoured for charity work Dec 3rd 2012, 10:04 Katy Perry stood out as she was honoured with the Trevor Hero Award for her work ‘empowering LGBTQ youth’ at the Hollywood Palladium.  The Trevor Project is the leading national organisation focused on suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ youth and they honoured Katy this year because according to Abbe Land, executive director and CEO she ‘has done so much to empower youth.’ The singer was embracing the charities motto, ‘be proud of who you are’.  And we think it’s safe to say Katy is proud of who she is in this sparkly nude number!
